Make a difference
Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. Man, or woman, you can join in the Movember fight and play your part in ending these unnecessary deaths.
The Movember Foundation is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year-round. Addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention, the Movember Foundation has been highlighting men’s health issues since 2003.
- Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men.
- Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15-34
- Around 1 in 4 adults will experience a mental health problem in a given year.
- Around half (53.8%) of men meet the federal guidelines for physical activity.
As a community we love to help each other and it is through awareness of the Movember foundation in November that we as a bingo family can help spread the word and make men all over the world aware of the biggest health issues that they face. See how you can make a difference in November!
GROW A MOUSTACHE
Doing Movember means raising funds for men’s health. And growing a moustache is your chance to do just that. Start clean shaven, grow throughout the month, and get some serious funds behind the men who need it most.
Men and women alike can embrace the sweaty Mo this Movember by being active. It’s what we like to call Move. Set a distance goal at the start of the month, and walk, run, cycle, swim or row your way to achieving it. You can raise much needed funds for men’s health while you’re at it.
HOST AN EVENT
Get together with friends for a Movember event. It’s the perfect excuse for a good time and you could be helping to stop men dying too young.
Men die on average six years earlier than women. But you can be the difference, and help the Movember Foundation change this startling stat. Check out the Movember web page to see how you can make a difference in November!
